What is pulse power supply

A pulse power supply is a power supply that generates a high voltage, short duration pulse current.It is usually used in instrumentation, electronic equipment, physics experiments and other fields.


The working principle of pulse power supply is to utilize the principle of capacitor or supercapacitor (supercapacitor) and transformer to generate high voltage pulse current. During the charging phase of the power supply, the capacitor or supercapacitor is charged with a low voltage current. When the charging reaches a certain level, the capacitor or supercapacitor is connected to the transformer through a switch to generate a high-voltage pulse current.
